A leopard cautiously drinks from a pond of liquid sky, concrete elephants
carry leafless trees with branches forming faces, tiger stripped flamingo’s and floating fish appear on a pristine beach.

Inside Rick Garcia is a world of images where life is in a state of metamorphosis. Bright and colorful images blend and mix to create an illusion where everything is or can be something else. Reality and irrationality meet at the crossroads of imagination.

A native of Miami, Florida, Garcia has been an artist since he
first began to draw on a daily basis at the age of 9. During his teen years, Garcia discovered a strong connection to the mind and images of the Spanish master of surrealism, Salvador Dali. Obsessed with the incredible images and the technique of the master, Garcia had found his direction in art. He soon enrolled at the Art Institute of Miami under the direction of artist Elwin Porter, and began to develop his natural ability to draw.

The early 80’s began his associations with galleries which led to having his paintings frequently used on the hit TV show, “Miami Vice” as well as TV commercials and magazine ads.

Since then Garcia’s artwork has graced everything from the side of a three story building, to a Rolls Royce, a private jet, commercial licensing products and more.
