"Absolut Artist of the
90's"
 In 1989 Garcia was chosen to
be part of an unprecedented ad campaign to expose some of
the top talent in the contemporary art world. He was named
an “Absolut Artist of the 90’s” where his
image of the famous vodka bottle was seen in a surreal landscape.
A year later he created yet another ad when he submitted a
functioning electric guitar made into the shape of the Absolut
bottle. “Absolut Electric” was born and both ads
gained global attention in various magazines including Paul
McCartney’s World Tour book and Absolut Book.
