Garcia has done a variety of commissioned murals around the country. No surface has proven too large. He enjoys the challenge of blending theme, personality, and surrealism. Below are only two examples of his work.
The first is in a unique jewelry store called "Carrazza" located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The painting on the ceiling consists of realistic looking broken tiles and bougainvillea flowers framing a scene of seagulls and dolphins which are flying up to a mysterious sky. They are being attracted by this strange light which is appearing inside of a ceiling high above supported by columns which are slightly disjointed and beginning to crack. Not seen in these pictures is the continuation of the theme down the walls of the jewelry store.
The second is a ceiling mural for a theater in a private home. In this mural, water lilies float in an upward spiral into the domed gold ceiling. The simple design enhances the room making it seem larger and more open. |
